C'est de l'injustice

In my high school, high heels are no unnatural sight. They are a part of us. Maybe even an indispensable part, like clothes. Of course boys don't wear them (thank God), only girls do.
Anyway I found some really cool boots but they come with 3 inch heels. Now THAT'S a problem for me. I'm 14, soon 15, and already 177cm tall... I have looong legs. That means that I'm the tallest girl in my class compared to the short French (I go to a French school and yes, I speak french fluently as I have for the past.. 6 years?) guys and girls.

So, I'm tall but what if I really want to have high heels? Of course I CAN slip on a pair, but SHOULD I? No. I tried it yesterday and the results were quite catastrophic: the girls were jealous, the shorter guys were intimidated, the taller guys... well... they were quite intimidated too, and my friends suggested that I not try them on again. I also tried to tell them that supermodels wear them, but of course their answer was: "Top Models do, but normal people don't".

So, what, does this mean that I have to be a model to wear heels? No thanks, I'll just wait until I turn 18 or something.
Although what do I do with these boots? They weren't exactly cheap either.

My unlucky "hiking" shoes. Odd fashion choice in the US, but here its à la mode:
